Need to understand the usage of SKU Licensing Fee for SQL Server 2019 Standard on VM with more than 4 VCPU as it is showing the 8,555.39 hour in the billing console so how this usage is being calculated.

The usage is calculated based on the usage time of visible vCPU allocated to the VM (or VMs) running SQL Server. If you for example have a VM with 8 visible vCPU running constantly for a month, your usage would be 5840 (8*730) hours. Based on the figure you gave (if it’s a monthly figure), I would guess you run SQL Server on one or more VMs totaling 12 visible vCPU.

Hi Team,
Thank you for the update.
We have two VMs, each initially configured with 8 vCPUs, which were recently upgraded to 16 vCPUs each. Following this upgrade, there has been an increase in the billing amount.
Could you please assist us in understanding the SKU costing and provide a detailed explanation of how the billing calculations are derived?

Thanks & Regards,
Ketan
