Hi, can one restore a deleted snapshot schedule? I would love to restore a [previous snapshot as the current one is corrupted. Please help!
Did you manually delete the snapshot?
Compute Engine uses incremental snapshots so that each snapshot contains only the data that has changed since the previous snapshot. For unchanged data, snapshots reference the data in previous snapshots. Storage costs for persistent disk snapshots charge only for the total size of the snapshot.
When you delete a snapshot, Compute Engine immediately marks the snapshot as DELETED in the system. If the snapshot has no dependent snapshots, it is deleted outright. However, if the snapshot does have dependent snapshots:
If you manually deleted your snapshot, please contact our support team and open an incident with them, they can provide more options for your issue.
Otherwise your snapshot should be stored in the location that you chose. Please review this document about Restore from a snapshot.
Thank you so much Dasalemi. The snapshots were set to auto-delete after 7 days..I didnt set them to keep the last 2/3 versions. Also i did not manually delete them
