Shrink filestore

I have a filestore extended up to 63TB.
After a deep cleaning the occupied space is 25 TB.
Is it possible to perform a shrink operation to reduce the allocated space to 26TB?
I tried a backup and restore operation on a new filestore instance but if the size isn't 63TB it won't let me do the restore.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Andrea

Hello @ErroErro,

You cannot downgrade a Filestore instance depending on your service tier. Take a look at this documentation. If you're using basic HDD or Basic SSD, you can only scale upwards.

Also, take a look at this GCC post. You have to create a new instance and copy the data from your original instance into the new instance.

If the above option doesn't work, you can contact Google Cloud Support to further look into your case. Hope it helps, thanks!
