Switch Cloud Shell's OS from Ubuntu to Debian

I recently realized that my Cloud Shell's operating system is Ubuntu, which is not what I want.

I want to switch to Debian because I read the Cloud Shell release notes, which mentioned that Cloud Shell is now built on top of Debian 11.

I tried resetting my Cloud Shell, but the OS is still Ubuntu.

So I'm wondering if it's possible to switch Cloud Shell's OS from Ubuntu to Debian, and if so, how?

Welcome on the Google Cloud Community. Unfortunately this is missmatch between release notes and actual state. Release notes says, that cloudshell is Debian 11 based. However since 3 years cloudshell is being running on Ubuntu.  Also, you are not able to change OS distro from Ubuntu to debian.
