I am going through the process of creating a cloud storage in a VM. I got two questions?

1.) why should we need to retrieve the banner images from a publicly accessible cloud storage?

2.)why should we need to copy the banner image to your newly created cloud storage bucket ?

A requirement to copy a banner image to any storage system seems odd to me as well. But I don't fully understand what you are trying to do.  Might you perhaps point to directions or documentation that lead you to believe you need these banner images?  What is your end goal?

My end goal is to know the concept (or)reason behind retrieving, copying the banner images. instead of just completing the process using the commands. thank you for your comments.

Definitely, I am following the google-coursera documentation task 3: create a cloud storage bucket using the gsutil command line

Ah, then it's just an example of a thing you can upload. I don't think
there is any requirement that it be a banner. But presumably you need one
for an example html page to work.
