yum update not working

One VM is not supporting the yum update. While I trying to wget the mirror urls, got the error message "Could not resolve host"

Unfortunately, with the information provided, it is not enough to know what you are facing. Probably there is a misconfiguration between the OS and the Yum file.

I would appreciate if you can share: 

What is the purpose of the YUM file?

Which OS and version are you using?

Could you check the serial port and validate if the OS is running properly?
