Hello there

I have a query did holiday challenge is gonna start today and how much time is there to complete the event because I saw qwiklabs linkedln page where in event section it mentioned that event was about 30 min so please help in clearining my doubt. Also can you please tell the exact timing of event

Hey @laavishsheth122 welcome to GCC

The event will last for 12- 24hrs or max 2- 3 days

Team never share exact timing because many people create multiple accounts & capture the seats of needy participants (who really want to explore cloud)

But as per my experience the event starts generally at evening around 4pm to 9pm IST and 9:30am to 11:PM IST

*Note sometimes they pre- release labs /games for testers like us (not for public) so that we can provide the feedback to the team and they can work on it (bugs in labs) because last time during data challenge when every lab failed people spammed the community and started abusing our admins and community members to so to avoid any inconvience they pre- release labs .

Is it even possible to stop those who use Multiple accounts or Identify them? I also became the victim of that as in the test phase when only 39 people saw the message, I tried to enter but there was no spot left...

Yes by introducing :

Ip tracking (we have for google India events )
Govt Id proof before swags redemption

Many users created fake accounts during the thanks teabreak challenge, but the team identified them and blocked them.

As well, there are many ways for them to bypass this as well, such as using parents' and relatives' names & procuring their id cards. However, strict rules should be implemented as these challenges are designed for learning purposes & swags are only for souvenir not for making a factory .

Youtubers ka dhanda to bandh ho jayega... some B.Tech wallah has to delete his Youtube channel then..

Btw any chance of implementing this in future events ? as this one is almost over and they have already done the damage...

Ok, hope to see that implemented asap so that only genuine person (1 account == 1 person) can apply and no one has to suffer for their malpractice

But still arcade has some flaws in it's swags redemption, that is, people can take swags even if they have done just 1 badge and gathered just 1 point. So by doing this many will create new account as they have to do little work to get the swag.

And some serious people have to bear the consequences like no spots left and others.

So yeah Arcade game also have some loop holes in it and people used to exploit these kind of things.

They will not make changes at the last moment I guess or implement any new security procedure. But hope to see that in future events at least, otherwise there is no point for people doing the challenges for learning..
