Help! Getting Started with Google Cloud Arcade

Hi Community,

I’m new to the Google Cloud Arcade program and excited to get started. However, I don’t see any games displayed currently. Could anyone guide me on:

1. How to get started with the Arcade program?
2. When the next set of games will be available?

In order to join Google Cloud Arcade (in case you want to know), you need to at first create a Google Cloud Skills Boost account:

This link will lead you to the page where you need to sign up using a Google Account (preferably a new one)

Then this page: https://go.cloudskillsboost.google/arcade will lead you to the Arcade. New games will be introduced soon this month, probably by the second week.

Some important prerequisites:

• You need to subscribe to the Arcade (the option will be provided at the top of the arcade page itself)
• You need to tick on both the checkboxes about occasional product updates and extended time accommodations in your Cloud Skills Boost Account settings (Click on your account profile pic --> Settings --> General --> Other (scroll down))
• Failing to do the above two steps will make you ineligible for the Prize Counter.
• As a new member, you should know that the games are not video games but a part of a learning platform, where you'll have to do virtual 'labs' and experiments (as instructed) regarding Google Cloud and its various functions, in order to gain points for the 'games'. So, if you are willing to spend your precious time in learning something new about the Google Cloud Platform and increase your skills, you are warmly welcome!

Each game will earn you 1 point, with special edition games (with a slightly different designed badge) giving 2 points. Also, for exactly two skill badges from the Cloud Skills Boost platform, you'll get 1 point, i.e., 6 skill badges = 3 points and so on...
Earn minimum number of points required for standard milestone to be eligible for swags (it was 15 points last time). But of course, go for the premium plus /champions milestone, which requires the most efforts, and hence contains the best rewards. Also, join the special events like the Facilitators' program to earn bonus points.
