What's the best career advice you've ever heard? Or given?
"Your job is to make your boss's job easier." (From my first mentor - I agree with this when it comes to day-to-day work!)
"If it was easy, someone would have done it already." (From my start-up boss - another very wise and hard-working individual.)
"When you interview, ask how the company supported their employees during the 2020 pandemic." (From me to my sister, who is graduating soon. Biochem - she's a smart cookie!)
What great advice have you received? Drop a note in the comments below, and let's chat!
Thanks for stopping by, looking forward to hearing words of wisdom 😊

"Knowledge is the most powerful thing to succeed. Knowledge and skills unlocks the path to get into places where it's difficult to go."
With the google cloud programs like Learn to Earn, CloudReadyFacilitator, etc. we can learn and access the resources for free to learn and understand the new age technologies. This gives us advantage to have more knowledge to professionally grow in the industry.
@emily927 Thanks to the Google cloud team for organising such great events, that helps us to gain knowledge with free resources..

@emily927 Hi Emily, I am facing a severe problem with the Learn to Earn lab, I have been trying to communicate this to the Qwiklabs team via email multiple times, but didn't get a resolution. Hence, I am reaching out to you, and I hope I get a satisfactory solution from your side
Also, I recently noticed that the Learn to Earn challenge, is put on hold from Qwiklabs side due to all these issues...
This is yet another proof for you that the badge indeed has issues, and this was the reason I was unable to complete some labs from this yellow coloured badge (machine learning engineering badge).
Kindly resume this badge for me, so that I can complete those remaining labs and complete the badge. I will be needing just one more badge, to complete my tier 2 prize. Please resume these labs atleast for 2-3 days, not more. And I know there are many more students like me, who are hopeful that these badges will be resumed at least for 2-3 days, if not till the deadline of the course. Therefore, I request you to resolve this issue at your earliest, and resume either one of the yellow colored/red colored badges or both.
I need to complete this Machine Learning yellow badge anyhow, as majorly Machine Learning is my forte.
Please understand my situation, consider all these issues from Qwiklabs side, & get this done at your earliest.
Best Regards.
This is an interesting topic being an Indian i've always heard people say that their parents asked them to do engineering or medical because what will society think or something like most of the family members are engineers or doctors so you have to follow the same path. In 9-10th class everyone's parents around me were asking them to pick maths or biology so that they can go through either of these paths but my parents never asked me what i wanted,i waited a few months and asked, “why don't you guys ask me to take maths or biology” then my father sat me down and said “ look kid i have studied from a village School and didn't even know a single word of english when i got into college and even after that i have struggled a lot but i am scientist now and i still can't speak perfect english as my peers do or my juniors do. But they respect me a lot and come to me for advice. So we won’t ask you to do something that you don’t want to do because my parents never did and they kept helping through my path and now I am here I trust you enough that you won’t make a choice that will harm you in the long run and If you ever need a shoulder to cry on or you decide to change your career ten years in some profession, we’ll be there each and every time Struggle is part of life no one can escape it embrace it and move on” My dad Doesn’t speak much but that day he shared all his struggles and hard work stories. Needless to say i am doing what i want.I am in third year of college and i am interested in cybersecurity more so in whitehat hacking . I have won bug bounty competition of my college for the last three years . I cleared my CEH exam last year and I am planning on doing bug bounty(Not a profession that is taken by a lot of people in India) as a full time profession after my college.
Fun fact: My dad sends me a screenshot everytime he sees a new type of spam or phishing message and tells me to study about it. I am very happy about what I am doing. I am writing this message here Because Gcp has been a small part of it. Whenever I needed a machine for cross checking a vulnerability or to practice my concepts on new vulnerabilities or classic ones in owasp list, it has always helped. I know it has been a long comment but my advice to everyone,Your family is the biggest support system that you need to take that extra step towards your goal.
Try and measure your abilities against your prior self rather than relative to others.
Consider how you have progressed in knowledge and experience over a period of time rather than worrying about where others are at relative to you.
It should always be a good thing in technology to find yourself amongst people with more experience or expertise. It should never be a cause of distress or feelings of being an imposter This was advice handed out to me last week in the context of cyber security careers. Didn't think I'd be in a position to pass it on so soon.
Eventually, you will get what you want, so don't be too harsh to yourself right now.
Just keep your pace and believe you are doing a great job.
- from my mentor, Taichi, during my first job

Hmm good...
Agree with you @sanyam_jain
but also Dedication is also needed towards right direction .
01. Always have Targets and be clear on what you're doing for the day or week.
02. Always be willing to take an extra tasks, to help others and yourself grow!
03. Always maintain a positive attitude, whatever the situation at work.
⭐Keep Learning ⭐Keep Connecting ⭐Keep Growing
Great👍
My only advice for all is that don't create multiple accounts for spamming or accepting your own solutions just to win a swag drop. Let's keep the community clean and help each other ethically .
No One is Perfect in this World so Don't try to be Perfect Just do what your Heart says

It feels great when I see lots of active people in the community.
Always give your 100% and gather such 9 people who can also give their complete 100% then it will be absolutely sure that you will make 1000% history. @emily927
