Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out to share a frustrating experience I'm having with the Webassessor check-in process for the Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Security Engineer (English) exam and perhaps see if others have faced similar issues or have advice.
My name is Viacheslav Kravchenko. Over the past day or so, I have attempted the check-in process for this exam over 20 times without success. Each time, the process fails, preventing me from starting the exam.
Critically, my setup appears to be fully compliant:
To further highlight that the issue doesn't seem to be my equipment or local setup, I successfully checked in and passed the Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Database Engineer (English) exam earlier today using the same system.
This recurring check-in failure for the Security Engineer exam has resulted in:
Has anyone else encountered such persistent check-in problems specifically with Webassessor/Kryterion recently, even after support confirmed system compatibility? Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Viacheslav Kravchenko
@anniegc, Please pay attention to this post. This is not the first tech Webassessor issue the community is facing. The migration to Dual Cameras setup for proctored exams will only increase the number of such examples.
Same issue yesterday:
The webassessor Dual Camera requirement was pathetic sequence of event for 2 hours had to dop validation 5-6 time each time not successful, had to reschedule exam waste of good 2-3 hours of time.
Exam was scheduled for 3:00PM PST.
Joined and did validation exact at 2:45, Launched and after usual test and validation Dual Camera was required. I scanned the area and clicked launch. Got error "connection was lost and greeter will check you in" nothing happens. Use chat channel AI agent ask name email etc. after spending time I ask to talk to agent.
Started the exam and encountered an issue. The supposed human agent, Krizzle, advised me to close and relaunch. I warned that since the secure browser is tied to the chat session, closing it would end the chat. Krizzle reassured me it would work.
I followed the advice and closed the browser—only to find the exam had to be restarted from scratch. I then asked the AI agent to reconnect me with Krizzle, but instead got transferred to someone named Ronald, who claimed to be a real human (suggesting Krizzle may not have been). Ronald repeated the same advice: relaunch the exam. Again, I explained that doing so would kill the session and leave me with no recourse. He insisted, and after following instructions, I was redirected to the main page with the message: "Your exam is past the scheduled date. You cannot launch."
I went back to the Kryterion website and started a new chat—again initially routed to an AI, and then to a human. After 45 minutes of re-explaining everything, the resolution offered was... "relaunch the exam." I explained that I wasn't even seeing that option. Eventually, the agent enabled the launch manually—only to have me hit a dual-camera setup error that stopped me again.
Summary:
2 hours spent
5 different agents (some possibly AI)
Still unable to take the exam
Ultimately had to request a reschedule for next week
Note: I have over 25 years of experience and numerous certifications, and this was by far the worst exam delivery experience I've ever had.
