Persistent Webassessor Check-in Issues: Professional Cloud Security Engineer Exam

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to share a frustrating experience I'm having with the Webassessor check-in process for the Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Security Engineer (English) exam and perhaps see if others have faced similar issues or have advice.

My name is Viacheslav Kravchenko. Over the past day or so, I have attempted the check-in process for this exam over 20 times without success. Each time, the process fails, preventing me from starting the exam.

Critically, my setup appears to be fully compliant:

  • My devices are working correctly.
  • I successfully passed all pre-exam system checks required by Webassessor/Kryterion.
  • I contacted Kryterion support directly both yesterday and today, and they confirmed that my system meets the requirements and should be compatible.

To further highlight that the issue doesn't seem to be my equipment or local setup, I successfully checked in and passed the Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Database Engineer (English) exam earlier today using the same system.

This recurring check-in failure for the Security Engineer exam has resulted in:

  • Inability to start the scheduled exam.
  • Significant wasted time trying to troubleshoot and re-attempt check-in.
  • Considerable stress and frustration.
  • The need to reschedule the exam attempt.

Has anyone else encountered such persistent check-in problems specifically with Webassessor/Kryterion recently, even after support confirmed system compatibility? Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated.
