With Q1 rapidly progressing, now is a great time to make sure you have a plan for validating your data engineering skills.. You may have missed that we have made updates to both our certification and the training you can take to prepare for your certification journey. What are the changes we made for PDE?

The new Professional Data Engineer exam reflects updates to Google Cloud’s data storing, data sharing, and data governance solutions. The new exam has less emphasis on operationalizing machine learning models and more focus on the data engineer’s role in making data usable and valuable. As machine learning and AI continue to evolve, the critical skill of making data usable places data engineers as a critical path for enterprise success.

Self Paced Learning with Preparing for Professional Data Engineer 

The recently updated Preparing for your Professional Data Engineer Journey  course helps learners prepare for the Professional Data Engineer (PDE) certification exam based on the latest exam guide. Learners will be exposed to and engage with exam topics through a series of videos, readings, diagnostic questions, and knowledge checks. 

The course was built for learners who want to plan their studies and find relevant resources when preparing for the PDE certification exam. Learners can identify gaps in their knowledge to determine which exam guide sections they should focus their study time .

👨‍💻Finally, I  was waiting for this change from last year. It is relatable to OOPs concept (Generality to specificity) and ML DL space is evolving with time so it is not a good idea to include it in DE. We have a specialized track for ML DL. Thanks for sharing!

Can someone share complexity PDE from Google with the same certifications for Azure/AWS? E.g. I have active certification for Azure, and a few from AWS (except data engineer). Will my knowledge from others cloud provider helpful, during passing PDE?  Thanks in advance

Great share!, seems Data Engineering is one the most evolving field, I was looking for a Data Engineer course great!

Coursera offers financial aid. I believe it's $1 until like November if you use the Google link. Which sadly, I can't recall what it is.
