Solved: kwiklabs - are they free?

Currently taking coursera course on GCP and I'm being taken to kwiklabs at the end of each modules for lab exercise. Are kwiklabs free that I can go through and start learning a bit more about GCP once I am done with the coursera course taking?

If I may throw in another question here, what is learn to earn?

Okay lemme try to address all your questions, but first it's QWIKLABS not kwiklabs, you can also call it as Google Cloud Skills Boost platform

You can do multiple hands on labs on this platform many of them are free, and many will cost you some credits. But don't worry about credits now just follow QWIKLABS on Medium : https://medium.com/@qwiklabs and they used to post some blogs with free credits at the end of their blogs.

So that's about Qwiklabs and credits you can get.

Now after you had credits it's very good, let's go to your next question.

What's Learn to Earn

So it's basically a game organized by Google Cloud on Qwiklabs platform where you enter new games each months and try to complete and get badge for the game and then you get eligible for some tier of prize

Like tier 1 contains 3 game badges, so you need to complete 3 games with all labs completed .

Now learn to earn is changed to Arcade game since from last year 2022 so you can see new games that are available for this year and participate in Arcade game and earn some swags as well at the end of the event. Here is the link for arcade game : https://go.qwiklabs.com/arcade

DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE FOR THIS GAME ON THE WEBSITE, to get emails related to the event

And don't worry about credits in games, Games are free labs only and open for particular period of time only.

For what it's worth, a large portion of the Coursera content is the same as the Qwiklabs content. Particularly the Certification Learning Paths.

Qwiklabs, you can call it free. Learn to earn is now maybe named arcade: https://go.qwiklabs.com/arcade. Register your mail and earn badges according to your badge collection you will receive prize from google.
