Hi,
I can see that you can choose to apply "controls" at the page level or at the report level (ie all pages). But is there any way to apply a control to only a specific set of pages (eg, pages 1-3 out of 5)
Thanks for any help.
No, you'd need to have the filter control be report-level, but hide it (with a box of the same color as the background, or something like that) on the pages where you don't want to see it. Then you'll turn off Inherit Filters for all the elements on the pages you don't want to have affected by the filter control.
Thanks. I would like for the control to apply equally to page 1-3 of my report, but not apply to pages 4 and 5. So If I set the control to be page level, I think I will lose the ability to apply it to pages 1-3 at the same time.
What Laura suggest is to have it a report level and at the bottom of the page.
For pages 4-5 hidden with a rectangle on top of it and turn off inherited filters.
For pages 1-3. Keep then visible.
For pages 4-5 you can put new ones on top of rectangles. Clumsy but works 😉
Oops! I typed page-level instead of report-level. I corrected my response. Sorry for the confusion.
I have made this sample dashboard.

The "office" control is set to be a report level filter as I want to apply it to pages 1-3. For pages 4 and 5, I cannot seem to find the option regarding inheriting filters for the table shown. Am I missing something?
No, I think you're right....looks like Inherit filters can only be turned off on elements for report-level or page-level filters, not filter controls. I was thinking maybe you could try grouping/ungrouping instead, but I don't think you can group report-level elements. I'll think some more, I feel like there's definitely a way to do this!
Thanks - it would be very useful if there is a solution to this:)
Hi - I have the same requirement - a report-level dropdown control filter which applies to some pages, but not others. I know that I could add an individual filter to the required pages, but then I have to set each filter individually. I was hoping that I could use Grouping, but this is not available on a report-level filter.
Any help gratefully received.
Hi - I have a similar requirement: a report-level dropdown control filter which applies to all pages except for one page.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
