Are parameters supported in blended data set for looker studio

We have been looking to utilize parameters in a blended data set and haven't yet been able to do so. Is this functionality enabled ?

You can't add parameters to the blend itself, but the blend can inherit parameters defined in the base data sources.

For example, I added a multiplier parameter to my data source and created a calculated field using that: Population * multiplier. I added that field to the "Base data" table to make sure it worked.

I then created a blend on that data source and included the calculated field in the blend fields.

Changing the parameter value (with an input box) affects both the Base data table and the2024-09-12_16-53-53.png Blended data table.

Hope this helps!

I have a follow-up question to the one above: I want to set the parameter value per chart in different charts for the same source. With charts from a single data source, I can do that using the chart setup UI, and it works perfectly, so I have different charts on the same page from the same source, with a different value for the parameter in each one. However, I don't see such UI for a blend. Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks

Thank you for the quick revert, our use case is different. Parameters inherited from one of the data sources can be it be used as control in drop down list

We have this feature in Looker tool.
