OK so I'm trying to help my coworkers. We have a Looker Studio report that has been in use for a couple of years. Multiple data sources linked, and suddenly TODAY, the connection to Google Ads is not working. But only for some... Initially it was only affecting 2 users, but just now a 3rd user started having the issue.
We have data connections in this report to Google Ads, Facebook, & Bing data. Only Google Ads has the issue, and it's only affecting 3 users (so far). Many use and access this report regularly and it was working fine for them all yesterday.
We tried reset to remove all filters.
Here is where it gets bizarre, it does NOT appear to be tied to a device or login.
I tried some addtl. troubleshooting with one user:
- I can login as him on my laptop (in a different physical location) and it works fine.
- He has tried logging into Chrome (including incognito mode), Firefox, Edge, as well as trying 2 other user logins and it does not work on his device (that worked yesterday).
- He even tried logging in as me on a different device (at his physical location) and it does NOT work.
We made a copy of the report and I gave him editor access and we confirmed the data connection looks fine for Google Ads. Tried refreshing data and no change.
So it does NOT appear to be user or device specific. It is only affecting Google Ads data. We get the same thing if we try to create a brand new report and make a new connection to Google Ads. Same result, not working for him, works fine for me when logged in as him.
