It's been at least three days since column alignment for tables stopped working. The settings aren’t saved, and when you try to modify the alignment of column A, it changes both columns A and B. But it doesn’t really matter, because nothing is saved when you reload the page anyway
@sam8 , could you please raise this issue to the looker dev team?
Thanks
I'm unable to reproduce the issue! I'm able to change the sorting of columns in a table with no issues.
Can you tell me more about what's going on here? Is this happening across all tables? What if you create a fresh report with a fresh table?
When I said column alignment for tables stopped working, I meant text alignment (left, center, right) applied to columns.
This issue is happening across all tables, even in a brand-new report with a fresh table.
Here’s what I did:
I created a new report (I tried with different reports);
I added a data source (I tried with different data sources);
I added a table to the report;
I inserted two dimensions into the table (I tried with different columns);
I tried to center-align both of them (it failed every time).
A lot of settings are not being saved, but I want to focus on this one because it should be very easy to reproduce.
It’s not just happening to me, as you can see below:
Thanks in advance, @sam8 !
Another case:
This one is also happening to me
Just updating to keep this post active.
Thanks for the detailed steps and the additional reports!
Our engineering team is taking a look at this now. I'll keep you posted.
