Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a recurring issue with the Date Range Picker in Looker Studio when I set it to "Report-Level." Here's what's happening:
- When I add a Date Range Picker to a page and leave it at Page-Level, it works perfectly fine and stays visible.
- However, when I change its setting to Report-Level, the Date Range Picker immediately disappears from the page.
- It no longer appears in the design view, and I can’t find it on the page, even though it still shows up in the layers list.
- Even if I adjust the element’s position settings to move it to the foreground, it remains invisible.
- If I attempt to move it back into position using the layers panel, it briefly appears and then disappears again.
- This issue persists even if I:
- Create a completely new Date Range Picker.
- Use a different browser.
- Test it in a simpler report with fewer elements.
I’ve searched for solutions online, but I haven’t found anything related to this issue. It seems like this could be a bug or limitation in Looker Studio.
Steps I’ve Taken:
- Tested the Date Range Picker on multiple pages and in new reports.
- Tried using different browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge).
- Attempted to use position settings to move the picker to the foreground.
- Confirmed the issue happens consistently whenever the Date Range Picker is set to Report-Level.
Temporary Workaround:
For now, I’ve had to keep the Date Range Picker at Page-Level and duplicate it across all pages, but this isn’t ideal as users need to reselect the date range on each page.
My Question:
Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, is there a known fix or a workaround that allows the Date Range Picker to function properly at Report-Level? Or could this be a bug that needs to be reported to Google?
Thanks in advance for your help! 😊
