Help Needed: Tracking Dashboard Usage by Viewer

Hello Community,

I'm trying to track the usage of each dashboard by individual viewers. I've started analyzing BigQuery logs and have found some valuable details, such as the dashboard ID and query information. However, I couldn’t find the viewer's email address. The logs only show the data source owner's credentials or the service account associated with the data source.

I also experimented with the email address parameter, but it only returns the @ds_USER_EMAIL parameter instead of the actual viewer's email.

Is there an alternative way to identify viewer emails and track dashboard usage effectively? I noticed that GA4 also doesn't provide viewer email addresses. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

try the solution I proposed to thise user having similar need.

It requires a Workspace and it is pretty handy  to  monitor  not only  usage but thhings like data exports and reports copies  within organization.

Are you talking about the looker studio log events ?
