How do I remove the gridlines on a chart in looker?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Unfortunately, it is a bug, a side effect injected after the deployment of modern charts for existing reports.
The legacy series and line charts have no more option to turn off the grid lines whereas the new modern charts have a full control separately of X and Y axis.
The only known solution would be to migrate your report to modern charts through the "Theme and layout" panel of your report and switch to modern charts. Do it with caution because the update is irreversible and you will need to check all the report and potentially adapt some charts (review of non regression and adaptations).
I hope it helps.
