How to permanently sort Date on a simple bar graph

Having this issue where my dates aren't being sorted in order on the X axis:

I can change it temporarily using the "change sorting" feature at the bottom but whenever I refresh the report it reverts back to the first screenshot.

Background:

Just a simple graph with two columns of data from a Google Sheet. One is the date and the other is a numerical value.

Changing the field in the 'Sort' section of the Properties panel to PARTITION_DATE should give you the result you want.

Are changes to this property undone when you refresh the page?
