As one of my business requirement , my end user wants a Tabular View which should look like pivot table but not a exact pivot table at report. there are many reason,
like
- the header and table content is always in same font size, we cannot change as there is no provision for that at looker end.
- The coloring of Header feature is also unavailable , so sometimes user get confuse what he/she is looking at.
Hence I changed my custom sql script and create columns to suffice the requirement.. for this I have to additionally add rules to those columns(and in this case I have 14 columns that is 24 distinct hour of a day). and the rule should be applicable to to all the columns.
During this process what i found that Looker has also limit when it comes to 'Formatting Rule/Conditional Rule'. It has limited to 20, WHY?
I really trying to make most of the Looker Studio , but always it surprised me with some unwanted reasons.
If Looker can upgrade the Pivot Table feature or remove the max 20 limit for conditionally formatting it would be great help.. these are the few cosmetic changes we need when it comes to deliver a good readable report.
