We created a looker studio dashboard/report with the "Enable viewer email address parameter" option selected. Upon going into the report for the first time, the user is asked to grant consent/allow the use of their email.
The issue we're having is, some users are accidentally choosing to not allow and we have no idea what to do to fix this/re-prompt them.
We've had the users sign out and back in, try a different browser, and even clear their cookies/cache.
Hi,
To address the issue in Looker Studio where users accidentally deny consent for their email address, you can try the following,
Users can try revoking Looker Studio's access through their Google account settings. Follow the link below:
https://myaccount.google.com/u/2/connections?filters=3,4&hl=en
This might prompt the consent screen to appear again. Find Looker Studio in the list of connected apps and remove its access. After this, when they next interact with Looker Studio, the consent request should be presented once more.
Thanks for the response. We tried that and it didn't work. The user still cant see the data and did not get a prompt to authorize.
Did he delete the consent in the field? It will definitely workโIโve done it before to regain authorization.
Yeah that is where we went. After deleting Looker, there was still no prompt the next time we went into the looker report/dashboard.
