This documentation: https://support.google.com/looker-studio/answer/7582581?hl=en, says that the median value of a datasource with even number of data is calculated by interpolating between the two central values. But I don't think this is how the median is actually being calculated. I created a simple spreadsheet with only four values:
7599
8055
8121
8167
I added it as a datasource in Looker and added a scorecard with the median. The value that shows is 8121 instead of the expected value 8088.. Can someone please confirm how the median value is actually being calculated when the datasource has an even number of data?
Thanks!
I just tested this with a simple spreadsheet as well and it seems to be working OK.

I created a calculated field MEDIAN(value) and it returned 650.
Maybe your test case considered the first value as a header? Then there would only be three data values, and 8121 would be the median.
