Multiple Tables - One DB

I have a Microsoft SQL database hosted on Azure. We currently use Tableau and I'm looking at Looker as an alternative. The main issue I seem to be having is connecting to the DB but seemingly needing a separate connection per table within the DB. Given the number of tables (about 40 - externally developed so not something we've had a control over), this seems overly complex in comparison to Tableau (where one connection exists to the DB and you pick the tables you want dynamically per dashboard/worksheet you want to create). Is there a way around this or is this simply the way it is for Looker? Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you're talking about connecting Microsoft SQL to Looker Studio? If so, you're right - Looker Studio connectors generally work on a table-by-table basis.

The Microsoft SQL connection to Looker, on the other hand, has the robustness that you're talking about. You only have to connect the database once, and then you can reference those tables freely in LookML or SQL Runner.
