How to calculate Retention rate of GA4 Data in looker studio

I found this Reddit post from another user with the same question - it looks like the formula (Total users-New users)/Total users could work.

Thanks for the response but this formula is not correct nope.
I have found Retention rate like this
firstly Create a new column named days {DATE_DIFF(Date, First session date)} then I have added this into dimension and active users into metrics and then apply filter.
But the above process shows some difference with the retention in GA4

@Lobo-Google Sorry to dissapoint you but you wont be able to conduct a proper retention/churn analysis of your users. It requires some more advanced data transformation in order to compute final numbers.
try BigQuery instead.
