I am currently working on copying some custom pages from various looker dashboards to another dashboard. It is taking forever, because I need to duplicate a page or make a blank page in the destination looker report, and then in the report that has a page I want to copy over, I have to select all the objects and copy them over. It's so inefficient. Why can't we copy these, like we would slides in a slide deck?
I'm surprised Google hasn't created this functionality yet in looker. It's such a basic thing to want to do. I don't want to copy the whole report, because I have a report developed. I just need a couple of pages from another report, and yet I have to spend so much time copying pieces of every page to bring them over.
Any quick workarounds anyone has figured out, I would love to know.
@misslooker It should work this way. Make sure you have same data sources in both reports.
What way? I'm saying I want to be able to just copy a page to a different report and I can't. I have to copy individual objects, and the objects are a pain to grab together.
Ctr A
Ctr C
Ctr V
And doing that makes a mess. There is no option to choose a data source that is in the destination report, instead of copying over the one from the source.
My whole point is that there should be a better way to do this than copying the individual objects over, even if you can select all, copy, and paste. It's a klunky messy process that requires a bunch of clean up.
