Unable to deploy new version to my published looker studio connector

Problem you have encountered:

The last time I had to make any changes to my published connector was in 2023 in a versioned deployment called Production with deployment id AKfycbxN2z7ex9p87gGNeW5SpGpn-ftG679lvI3tJWmSth1gD6a7Wi33h_6RtnklX03Ysydv I recently had to make some new changes to the connector and when I went go to deploy it, the Production deployment got archived so the deployment id is no longer there, if I try to restore that version, it get's a new deployment id.

I need to update the existing deployment for id AKfycbxN2z7ex9p87gGNeW5SpGpn-ftG679lvI3tJWmSth1gD6a7Wi33h_6RtnklX03Ysydv because that's the one being listed in the connecters page (https://lookerstudio.google.com/data?search=calltrackingmetrics%20call%20log), on our site, and currently being used by our clients since 2019.

If this is not the correct way to do it, please let me know

What you expected to happen:

to restore archived deployments with the original deployment id

Steps to reproduce:

  1. go back in time to 2019 and create a connector and deploy a version called Production
  2. make changes to the connector in 2023 and deploy to Production
  3. wait a year+ later to make another change and find out Production got archived

Other information (workarounds you have tried, documentation consulted, etc):

read these documents to make sure i wasn't crazy on how deployments worked

My team is facing similar issue.

 

i had no choice but to resubmit the connector with a new deployment id and face backlash from customers who's reports broke.
