Why do Tables with collapsed Row Dimensions fail to open for Viewers?

I built a Report  in Looker Studio Pro that has a number of Tables that include 5 different dimensions and 8 different metrics.  Expanded there are only about 105 rows in the table.

When the dimensions are collapsed anyone with a public-Viewer link gets the error below when trying to open the table. However, if I toggle the "expand-collapse" option to expand, the table opens very quickly for the Viewer.

As the Admin, I have no trouble viewing the tables, whether they are collapsed or expanded.

Is there something I need to change to give Viewers the ability to view tables with collapsed dimensions?
