Hello! It is not possible to do this on a regular table visualization but if it works for your scenario you can do this with a pivot table. I hope this helps!

Not sure If I follow your goal correctly. Do you mean to change the color of the row when you click on a certain row in table like in the screen shhot below?
If yes, then it kind of does it by making other rows less visible.
However, if the goal is to just change color of certain row based on some conditions you can freely use conditional formating like on example here:
For example you can change the color of rows displaying totals based on a field including a word "total".

Thank you for your responses! Original request was as ArkadyZagdan first example. Yes, I know that it makes less visibile other rows, however, client was quite persistent in it's demand.
Also we use the conditional formatting, but it request was what it was
