"Too many charts" Help would be appreciated :)

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to read this question. So my issue is very simple.

I am blocked by Looker Studio to duplicate a group of charts. I need 6-8, and it allows me to have 3 only. The exact error message I get is:

"Too many charts

Sorry, this will create too many components for the page. Try selecting fewer charts or controls."

"Why would you need so many?" You ask. Here's why. I own a business club and I am developing a gamified experience for our members to keep each other accountable and boost productivity through competition. View the dashboard below/attached if you like, then you'll get it.

Anyhow. We want to have the accountability groups made of 6-8 people. Since Looker Studio allows me to have maximum of 3, that's an issue.

I've got two questions:

1. Could you/someone please help me out how I can bypass this issue without resorting to 1) minimize charts amount or 2) have the same amount of profile dashboards over multiple pages.

2. I am absolutely subscribing to Looker Studio directly if this allows us to overcome the 'max. amount charts reached' issue. So, will Looker Studio will help us bypass the limit?

Anyhow, if you read through here, thank you so much!

Would love to view your answers and hopefully, solutions.

Cheers

The images, so I would like to get 6 to 8 of these player/personal dashboards in one page. This being on one page is important because we need one central sheet for our groups.

Hi @Aquiliaan

you are running into out limitation of 50 charts per report page. Switching to a pro subscription will not increase that limit.

The only way I can think of now for a possible solution is to try to combine as many static elements of these scorecards into one element before adding it to Looker Studio, for example the picture, name, the " /10" the frames, etc.

Thanks
Marc

Hi Marc, thank you so much for your response! I want to understand your proposed solution.

I do not completely comprehend your idea, is combining different elements into one element possible without sacrificing the design? I tried googling what you mean.

Our problem is now that 1 person card has 16 charts. I wish I could remove or combine a couple of charts only then we would completely overthrow the design right?

Or is there an option that makes your idea possible without a huge redesign?

Anyway, cheers Marc.

Thanks again, we solved it by combining a lot of data! Thank you for your help and time Marc!

Thank you so much for your response Luis. I translated your suggestion. What do you mean by: "What you can do is try to present everything through a table or two, as far as I see it can be done."

As far as I know (hope you know it better than I do) It is not possible create one table in a custom structure. A table remains a table.

2: How do you mean canva or Figma? You mean linking the data through from Sheets to Canva?

Cheers! Appreciate your comment a lot!

Glad you got it working for your needs, enjoy!

Hi @Aquiliaan,

We are facing a similar issue. Can explain how you got yours resolved?

Thanks!
