Any way to count how many files the LookML validator validates?

We're trying to test optimal patterns for 'include' within our models, explores, and view files. .... I've read the documentation, but it's still a bit confusing if ... say one Explore references all views, but other explores are self contained, but contains views that are referenced elsewhere --- basically, is there a way to count/ track ... for a given LookML validation --- how many files (like 2 files total, 20 files total) are being validated? Is this possible?>

I don't know if there is a good way to count the files validated, but as this article indicates, different types of validation happen depending on the changes that have been made, so this might be helpful to know.
