Egress Network Problems

Hi everyone,

we had experienced a major outage of our services using google cloud run from 05:52-10:46 (GMT+2) this day, which was related to all network egress and disappeared from its own without configuration changes.
We were not able to access CloudSQL and external services, like unleash or our influxdb outside of gcp.

Can anyone help us understand, if this problem was caused by google architecture or if there are any upcomming changes related to cloud run network, which requires our attention.

Kind regards

Paul Werner

Hi @paulwerneralmig,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

I understand your concern regarding the major outage experienced by your Google Cloud Run services last May 7, 2025, between 05:52 and 10:46 (GMT+2). During this period, it appears that all network egress from your Cloud Run services was impacted. While it's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause without specific information from Google Cloud, you can check the Google Cloud Service Health Dashboard as this provides official communication from Google regarding known outages and their status. You can filter by date and service to find relevant information. You may also want to check the Google Cloud Support Console for specific known issues in Google Cloud.

If the Service Health Dashboard doesn't provide a clear explanation for the outage, or if this issue happens again, we strongly recommend opening a detailed support ticket with Google Cloud Support. Provide them with detailed information. This will enable their engineers to investigate internal logs and infrastructure status to determine the root cause.

Thanks for your reply.
Our problem is, that we are not on a payed support plan and there was not budget available for us, because we are a small company, so we cannot send a ticket for that.

Thank you anyways.
