Failed to deploy uber jar using google-cloud-cli_458.0.1-0

Hi, using google-cloud-cli 458.0.1-0 my deployment fails with :

Invalid value for [--source]: Provided source directory does not have file [pom.xml] which is required for [java17]. Did you specify the right source?

My source directory contains one uber jar, nothing else.

After downgrading to google-cloud-cli_457.0.0-0_amd64.deb everything is fine.

My environment is, ubuntu 22.4, java 17, gradle 8.2. Am I missing something? Is it a bug?

You are not alone, I have the exact same problem. Downgrading to CLI 457 fixes it (for now). I submitted a bug report with a link back to your post, feel free to comment with your environment info:

This seems to be resolved in CLI 459.0.0

Estou enfrentando o mesmo problema; Passei o dia inteiro ajustando e analisando o erro, acreditando que o problema estava no meu cloudbuild.yaml, que de alguma forma bugou. Espero que eles corrijam isso em breve, pois meu ambiente de produção está em espera, aguardando que as alterações sejam implantadas.
