Change view data source without loosing columns selection

Case: you need to add a row filter condition to a view built with direct read to a table.

Problem: if you change the view data source (a slice of the same table) you loose all the previous column selection. The view begin from scratch.

Workaround (serendipity through):

1. Make a copy of the view
2. Without saving, make the change of the view data source in the copy ¡and will preserve the columns selected!
3. Replace all the references to the old one with the new (for example dashboard views)
4. Delete the original view and rename the new one
