"Unsupported image mime type image/png; charset=utf-8" Error message!

I have used barcode api to generate a barcode URL link to an image in .png format in my google sheets, When I click on the link in my google sheet it links me to a QR code image for a 5 digits number in one of the ranges in my google sheet. However the when I chose (Image) Column Type in the Data-Column section of my  App Sheet editor for that corresponding google sheets column, the QR Code image was not displayed in the detailed view of my App. And when I checked the column by viewing the Table's Data, I found this  error message "Unsupported image mime type image/png; charset=utf-8" . Is there a work around so I can view the QR Code image in my App.??

Can you show screenshots and example data of what you're talking about, I don't quite follow.

So here are a couple of screen shots I hope they explain the problem Im having. In my sheet I used the Arrayformula shown in the first image to generate the Bar codes, and when I click on the URL inside the cell  I'm directed to the image of the QR code. However the same image can not be viewed inside my App.

That API doesn't work on my end either. I always use tec-it.com

An additional thought, it was not appropriate to just add '.png' onto the end of the URL. Not that it works without that either, but just an FYI for the future.
