Apologies If Wrong Forum: On Account Protection/ User Interface- THANK YOU

Hello- I am a google email/workspace/docs user primarily.  In terms of account protection I was hoping I could use my (vintage) USB skate drive - circa 2000s- in order to help back up and protect my account

Is this thematic/idea interesting and/or feasible or am I completely misguided and mistaken?

perhaps a useful implementation for users?

Thank you- Sincerely, Chris

To protect your Google Account (whether it be a personal Google Account or Google Workspace), Google has articles already out on this subject including https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/46526?hl=en and https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/7519408?hl=en. Of course there are ways to protect your physical device as well including using lock screen, keeping it on your person at all times, etc.
As for backing up your Google Account (in a way), personally the only way I know of is when you can back it up on mobile device (such as https://support.google.com/android/answer/2819582?hl=en). Do note that Google Docs format is special meaning the only way to get a Google Doc file onto an actual device (whether it be Android, iOS, or USB), it does first have to be converted to another format that the physical device will support and for the case of the USB, that would mean you would need to first get the files onto a device (Windows OS, Linux OS, Mac OS, Chrome OS, etc) then transfer them over to the USB. Now I will say I don't know much about this topic but I do know that Files by Google app does allow files to be copied onto a USB as per https://support.google.com/files/answer/9301516 but I haven't ever tried it before so I don't know what formats that process supports or if some of the files would first need to be converted to another format (but most files on my Files by Google app are pdf and jpg and my Files by Google app has never included Google Docs files in it).
Do note that a Google Account can be accessed on many different devices since typically you can just use either the web browser or the mobile app to access the account so I wouldn't be surprised if backing up is a little bit harder than let's say files that are stored statically on a Windows desktop computer.

One last thought, Google does have something called Google Takeout that is available and some people do utilize that as a way of saving information. Article at https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/3024190?hl=en
