This seems like an issue that is really increasing.... I have a windows surface pro 11. didn't realize that because of this better, more efficient processor I wouldn't be able to use google drive for desktop. This needs to be fixed asap or worked on because Google's about to lose a lot of customers to drop box or other alternatives.
This limitation is extremely inconvenient and I'm sure many users will switch to services like dropbox, one drive, box, amazon drive etc. if it's not addressed
Solved! Go to Solution.
Google unfortunately generally doesn’t read/respond to threads here, so the little bit of information we’ve got in that thread and its comments is really about all anyone here knows.
Oh, and: marking something as solved is only under the control of the person who initially posted the thread, not a statement from Google about whether it’s actually solved or not.
There's a (looooong) thread about this over at https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Workspace-Q-A/Google-Desktop-on-Windows-ARM/m-p/170725 , for whatever that's worth (not much).
yaa but those are marked as solved, which it clearly isn't solved

oooh I see, thanks
is there a way we can bring this more to google's attention?
I have been told that the in-product feedback links, like the one for Drive in the screenshot below get more directly to the product teams than most other methods. The product teams still don't reply, but I have it on pretty good authority that they do see the feedback. That might be a good route to go.
We are pleased to announce that Drive for Desktop is now available in beta on ARM64. See https://support.google.com/drive/thread/308624582/drive-for-desktop-arm64-support
