I recently signed up for a google workspace for non-profits and had the confirmation email from google that said" Good news – (name of my domain) has been verified, and you’re eligible for Google for Nonprofits. Next, activate Google products so that you and your organisation can use them at no cost."
When I click on activate products it take me to a page where I click on "Get Started" under a products tab. Then I get the message:
Verify your domain
So I try and sign up for the trial and it says my domain is already in use!
If I go straight to the admin.google.com page and choose my email address, it doesn't go anywhere, it just stays on the same page....where am I going wrong?!
Solved! Go to Solution.
This seems to happen very frequently with new Workspace for Nonprofits instances for some reason.
Check out all the various options for “recovering” admin access to your Google Workspace account at https://support.google.com/a/answer/33561?hl=en.
There are a number of options there including getting in touch with support as well as technical methods to prove to Google that you own your domain name and should be allowed to access the Workspace instance.
Hope that helps,
Ian

Thanks Ian - I now have it sorted!
Sarah, how did you resolve this? I'm having the same problem. The solutions to recover admin access all assume you already have a verified domain and a non-gmail admin email address to recover, but I don't have either of those yet!
I don't need to recover email access (it's just my gmail),
Yeah, the process with the NPO edition has hurdles. I can't remember all of them but I remember having to go to different urls and through TechSoup to get things rollowing. -KAM
Would you please stop repeatedly posting this? Your point has been made. Now you’re just spamming people who have nothing to do with this.
