Hi all, I'm a new user of Google Drive desktop. I'm trying to access the "Shared with me" folder from Windows Explorer, but the folder is not shown anywhere. can someone help me ?
Itโs incredibly stupid, but you need to add a shortcut to an item in Shared with me to your MyDrive before you can see it in Drive for Desktop. See https://support.google.com/drive/answer/2375057 for how to do that.
What might work better is to use Shared Drives when you can. Those show up properly in Drive for Desktop, and also have the benefit of having their contents stick around even if the account of the person who owns the file is deleted (as might happen when someone leaves the organization).
