Change Primary Domain purchased when sign up for Workspace

Hello. I recently change the name of my company.. and had purchased a new domain from another registrar (not sqaureroom). I have set it up as a second domain..& tried to change it to primary but failed. 
I like to use the new domain for log-in and brand consistency. Is there a workaround to solve this issue? Thank you!!

I'm worried that you don't meet the pre-requisite about your current primary domain and the statement: "You cannot change your primary domain if: You purchased your domain when you signed up for Google Workspace. ..."

What error message are you getting?

Yes - I believe so. That’s the error message I am getting. Does it mean I should close the current Workspace account and start a new one all over again?

@Tinkery I'm afraid I don't know.  It would require some research and discussion to find the best path.  Perhaps Google Support can help you and they are able to do the switch for you? -KAM
