Converting an email alias into it's own user account? Will emails be lost in transition?

I have an alias under my superadmin account that I would like to separate it into it's own paid user account.

I've read the instructions on going into the alias menu, deleting it, and then recreating it as a new user under "add a new user".

My concern is, when I delete the alias, will that users email be deleted even though it is being recreated as a new account?  Are these emails purged or held in stasis for a while allowing them to be rebuilt under a new user account name?

Thank you, I went ahead created the new account.  The emails didn't transfer over but remained in the original host account, as expected.

Hello!

The idea of alias is do redirect the emails to an account.

The alias doesn't receive any emails.

There's any impact to delete alias and then use the e-mail do create a user account.

The e-mail previsouly received will be mantained on the account that received the emails.

Hope it helps!
