Creating two separate data validation dropdown menus in same Sheet

Is it possible to create multiple and separate data validation dropdown menus in a Sheet? ie. I want yes/no in column G, and I want department names dropdown in column H.

Correct. 

And here is a screenshot of what my two columns look like.  One with data validation set up, and the Column M I want to set up with separate data, keeps picking up the data validation from Column N.  I want the data validation for Column M to be a totally separate dropdown.  Ty!
