Dinamic groups

Hello everyone!

Is there any possibility in Google WS to create dynamic groups in which the field "Job title" or "Department" contains or begin with a keyword? In MS365 AAD it is very easy to create dynamic groups according to this principle.

In Google WS there are only "Equals" & "Equals ignore case" operators...

@KAM , but why to use Workspace Admin SDK Directory API ? I also use PS and PSGS for other tasks in MS365 and Google WS. You need a programmer to manage simple tasks in Google WS ? just need options like "StartWith" or "Contain" operators for some fields as "Departament" or "JobTitle" to create Dinamic Groups in Workspace Admin interface not to use API or other tool to obtain this.

By support APIs, Google gives you more flexibility though I agree there is a higher hurdle but if you use powershell, you'll love GAM.  See if it helps with this problem.  Every Workspace administrator should be using it. -KAM

GAM is super powerful, but not the easiest tool to configure. It's also easy to add users via a script but removing users that no longer match your critical is a little more challenging and requires some knowledge of development and scripting.

We've created Patronum, https://www.patronum.io that supports dynamic group management as well as many other features.

With Patronum you can use the UI to select the attributes you want to filter, you can also create complex AND OR conditions. Patronum will add identified users to Google Groups and automatically remove them when they no longer match that criteria.

@paul_lees , I take a look at Patronum and for us it means that we must pay a lot of money, more than 30 thousand $ /year, this is not a solution for us just to create dinamic groups...

You must have a lot of users @virgiliua as Patronum is just $8 per user per year for businesses and only $2 per user per year for Edu and non-profits.
