Sharing files outside

Hi guys,

We are trying to share some files outside our organization.

The options are restricted as you can see on the picture only for our company, the weird things is yesterday we were allowed to share outside

Anyone change the sharing the options where allowed outside the organization is enable.

If anyone has any idea I'll be glad to received.

A guess: Those settings can also be configured for a specific OU, as well as a configuration group. Maybe that's what's happening? See https://support.google.com/a/answer/60781?hl=en for more details, especially the bit that reads:

I already read all those articles and try what they say but, nothing is fixed.

I even allow outside domains including our client and nothing.

Hmmm. I'm not sure, then. Maybe someone else will come along here and have better ideas. You might also try contacting Workspace Support (see https://support.google.com/a/answer/1047213?hl=en), as they have more ability to investigate what's going on.

Ian, do you know if they have any chat, email, phone number for specific issue?

After reading a bunch of articles anything resolve the problem.

When you contact Workspace Support via the admin console, there is a chat option. See the link in my last post here.

@kim_nilsson @stevelarsen @KAM Am I remembering right that one of you might have posted something recently about how to get past the chatbot to a human?

I think there are some versions of Workspace where it's extra hard to circumvent the bot. 🙂 Or, rather in the pricier versions it's easier. 🙂

One just has to be consistent and always select "that wasn't helpful, contact support", or similar option.

@MarcaAdmin what version of Workspace do you have?

@MarcaAdmin Regarding the file with sharing, is it owned by your org? For example, do you have rights on a file from an @gmail.com account so the corporate restrictions don't apply? @icrew re: getting around the bot, I have no quick answers. It's usually evolving every few months and I just keep choosing "not helpful" and you have to have a sku with support -KAM
