Email links in GSite go nowhere

My email links in my GSite go nowhere when I click on them. How do I get them to open up a new email in gmail? They are gmail accounts.  Ty!

I have "mailto:" in my link and it's still not working. ie. (PII Removed by Staff)

Anything else you can think of?

I'm in two different email inboxes and no matter what I click on, I can't get the "overlapping squares icon" to show up in the address bar.  Any advice?

Nvm. I went into the protocol handler and changed my setting. However, it is still not working. I have a feeling it's because the gmail addresses in question are "owned" by our County, and not "personal" gmail addresses.

It's working! After an overnight update (probably should have rebooted my computer), the protocol handling change worked and the links are now opening up gmail.
