Hello everyone,
I have signed up for a Google Workspace subscription to migrate some users and leave others on the old Lotus Notes server. However, I am encountering an email loop issue.
Setup:
- MX records pointing to the Lotus Notes server
- Smarthost configured to send emails of migrated users from Lotus Notes to their Google Workspace accounts
- I have declared the smarthost IP address in the "Inbound Gateway" section of Google Workspace, as per the Google Workspace Admin help instructions
Issue:
When Google Workspace receives emails, it seems that it looks up the MX records and sends the emails back to the Lotus Notes server. This creates a loop that eventually stops at the smarthost (almost a 6 times loop).
Despite these settings, the issue persists.
I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue.
