Emails sent to non-existent adresses

Hello,

We are trying to retrieve an email that has been sent to an inbox not use anymore as we are trying to reset a password for an old account on their system (we don't know who the email has been sent to as part of the security process from the supplier - that they cannot mention the email address or number associated with the account.....).

Is there a way find these undelivered mails? We have tried looking in in the Email Log Search, setup a catch-all routing rule (https://support.google.com/a/answer/12943537 - worth the try...) or this is not possible as they have not even been delivered from sender side so google won't be able recognise this as a received event?

Any help or recommendation would be great, Thanks!

@sean-sonder the email wouldn't exist anywhere.  During the SMTP conversation, it would have only gotten to the phase where the sending system told google who the recipient was.  Google would have said the recipient didn't exist and the email conversation would end there.

Recommend you add the old email as an alias to an account and retrigger the password reset. -KAM
