We have several clients that often ask us to perform admin functions on their Google Workspace Accounts for them... Things they prefer to delegate. They normally give us access to their primary account in order to do so. And we login as them, but I was wondering if they could just give one of our Google Workspace Accounts Admin access to their Google Workspace. Much like when we are given permission to Administer their Google My Business or Google Ads Accounts.
Hi @basilbabaa :
If you are a Google Workspace reseller, I believe there's a thing called the "Reseller Console" or something like that that can give you those sorts of delegated access functions. Other than that, I think the best option would be for your clients to give you a separate admin account that you have access to. Obviously, that has costs, but if they're paying you for you time, it's likely a comparatively tiny annual cost.
Hope that helps,
Ian
@icrew and @basilbabaa you can also use Cloud Identity Free to create an account for your admin access with no additional licensing fees. -KAM
Ooooh! Really awesome tip @KAM ! I’ll remember that! Thanks!
@AndrewB , @Willie_Turney is there someplace where this sort of incredibly useful thing could be featured as a “tip of the month” or something?
Great idea @Lauren_vdv
