Wondering if anyone else has this issue. I have the subscription for Gemini Enterprise in Google Workspace. The license is properly assigned. Yet all I see is the following. There are no options to select from any of the different Gemini services such as 1.5 Pro with Deep Research or 2.0 Experimental Advanced. Anyone know why this is?
@Dayanjan I don't think there is any granularity controls in the Gemini workspace integration for that. The Enterprise plan does add some features though. Perhaps you are thinking of some of the Vertex AI announcements? See https://workspace.google.com/solutions/ai/#plan HTH, KAM
@Dayanjan not to patronize you but have you gone to notebooklm.google.com with a Google Workspace account licensed for Gemini for Workspace Business or higher? -KAM
NotebookLM Plus is available to anyone with a Gemini Enterprise license on their Google Workspace account. It is the experience available to you already at notebooklm.google.com when meeting those conditions.
This is working as intended today, Gemini for Enterprise users works differently than consumer Gemini offerings under Google One. The UI is different and there is no toggle today.
@KevinApodaca this is causing a lot of confusion. We too have Gemini Enterprise Licences and there's no indication at all that we're using NotebookLM Plus. Are you saying that if you have a Gemini licence you're using NotebookLM Plus and there's no way to tell? With the Gemini App we see we have Gemini Advanced, but in NotebookLM there's nothing to tell us so how do we know we're using Plus - is that right?
Thanks for the feedback, let me address your question
> Are you saying that if you have a Gemini licence you're using NotebookLM Plus and there's no way to tell?
There's currently no visual banner akin to the Gemini Advanced vs Gemini in the Gemini App.
However, you can tell the difference between NotebookLM and NotebookLM Plus due to additional features, mentioned in the graphic at the bottom of the announcement
A couple of examples:
NotebookLM Plus lets you "create shared notebooks ... get usage analytics" -> So Plus users will see the Analytics button in the UI. and their Sharing experience and options are also different
NotebookLM Plus brings "over 5x more sources per notebook" -> this is reflected in the source limit # at the bottom. Left has 300 for Plus, 50 for standard
NotebookLM Plus lets you "customize the style and length of your notebooks" -> this is reflected by the additional configuration toggle seen below
There's a couple of other examples but hopefully this provides at least one quick way for users to validate. Again this something we are working to improve and provide additional clarity.
Hope this helps!
@KevinApodaca thanks for those pointers: I can see we have the 300 available sources, so I know we're using Plus.
There should really be a more "in-your-face" way to see it however, just like the Gemini App
@KevinApodaca This is greatly appreciated. Can confirm that I have notebook LM Plus from the features you described above. Thank you!
OK now this is confusing. I have the same features in the free version as well as the one through the enterprise account. Guess this is not Notebook LM Plus but rather the new and improved base version of Notebook LM?
@KevinApodaca echoing @StephenHind !
This has been extremely confusing. Is there any documentation that clearly explains all of this. For example, if we are paying for the Gemini Enterprise license, what is it that we do not have access to. For example, using a personal Gmail account I have access to all the features of Gemini including all of the different versions. However, even after paying more for Gemini in the enterprise license, what we have access to is very limited. Not to mention the confusion around notebook LM Plus. I guess the question is, despite paying extra for Gemini access in the enterprise setting, why is it that we get is so limited compared to that we get from a personal Gmail account with Gemini?
